A tour around Mallorca
The largest of the Balearic Islands and also the largest of all the Spanish islands. Formerly it was known as the Island of Calm. But that was left far behind, since today it is a tourist destination of the first order.
We propose an 8-day trip to travel the 550 kilometers of its coastline, with more than 340 beaches of all kinds, both white sand and small coves of stone. The N and NW coasts are more abrupt areas, with rocky coves and cliffs. In contrast, the SE side of the island is usually peaceful and quiet, with friendlier coasts and a large number of beaches that allow us to anchor and explore the coastline in peace and quiet.
With a typically Mediterranean climate and temperate all year round, it is an island that invites us to make an extensive visit. Join us for a tour of Mallorca!
Itinerary
The trip combines sailing with stops to anchor and enjoy bathing in the most spectacular coves of Mallorca. It combines sleeping in ports, to be able to stroll through the towns, shop and delight us with the appreciated restaurants that will serve us the best of the island’s gastronomy, with the anchorages in buoys to sleep rocked by the waves of the sea.
Our plan is to sail from Port Marina Badalona to Sóller. It is a 100 Nm distance that we will cover in about 20 hours. In its port we will spend the night, and the next day we will go to Sa Dragonera, an island known for the hundreds of lizards that live there, we can swim in coves like Cala Cucó or Cala Llebeig. We will spend the night in the buoys of Sant Elm.
On the fourth day of the trip we will pass near Andratx, one of the oldest villages of the island, and very close to Palma de Mallorca, its capital, protected by a bay of the same name. We will pass it to continue towards Cala Pi and Es Trenc, where we will anchor.
It is planned to make the leap to Cabrera, an archipelago of 19 islands which is said to have the most transparent waters in the Mediterranean and return to the big island by Caló des Marmols, Calo des Moro and Cala Figuera, in whose port we will spend the night.
On the sixth day we will enjoy sailing and bathing in such idyllic places as Portocolom, Cala Varques and Cala Ratjada, where we will spend the night.
Following the coastline and passing through Alcúdia, we will stop in the port of Pollença, to get ready and make the jump back to Badalona. We will leave the island by the beautiful Cap Formentor. It is planned to arrive at Port Marina Badalona on the 8th day around 18:00h.
