Escale à Sète in Easter
What a better way of starting season that going this Easter to Escale à Sète, the most important festival of maritime traditions in the entire Mediterranean. Sailing, we will arrive there, where days with all kinds of activities related to the sea await us: visits to the great classic sailboats, traditional Mediterranean music, local cuisine … All that and much more is what we are going to find in this small coastal town.

During Easter and for 6 days we go to Sète, in the south of France to celebrate the most important festival of seafaring traditions in all of Europe.
Visit classic sailboats, taste typical dishes from the sea, and listen traditional marine music, which plays everywhere
For a week, and since its first edition in 2010, the small fishing village of Sète, has become a meeting point for seafarers from all over the Mare Nostrum and other seas to celebrate their party. Those days bring together great classic sailboats that can be visited, as well as replicas of some historical sailboats, famous péniche, barges that cross the channels of France, the jousting boats and the traditional rowing boats.

Traditional seafaring music transmitted from parents to children everywhere, on the docks, taverns, streets, where we will also find a gastronomy straight out of the sea. You see, a party for all the senses … who is with us?
This is the plan:
April 13th, 2022: we leave Badalona’s port at around 11 am heading to Sète. We will sail all day and all night to cover the 148 Nm that separate us from the small town. We will enjoy the sea, sailing, good music and good conversations. Lunch and dinner will be made on board, just like sleeping
April 14th, 2022: after about 30 hours sailing, arrival in Sète is scheduled for around 5:00 p.m. We will have had breakfast and lunch on board, enjoying the sea in a relaxed and intense experience. Upon arrival in port, we will disembark and begin to enjoy the program of activities that Sète offers us. We will sleep on board.
April 15th and 16th, 2022: two days to know the small city and immerse ourselves in its history, its past and its present so related to the sea, attend the great crew parade or the jousting tournament. Every day you can also visit the different classic sailboats and replicas. Breakfasts and overnight stays will be on board.
April 17th, 2022: After breakfast and taking a last look to the town, we will start our way back to Badalona at around 12 noon. We will have lunch, dinner and sleep on board, rocked by the seawaves.
April 18th, 2022: Throughout the day and until approximately 6 pm, the expected mooring time to the destination port, we will continue sailing along the coast, first by the French and then by the Catalan. Meals will also be made on board.
